Patty Burchette joined The Office of The Chaplain (SPARC) in September 2019.  Patty provides administrative support for University of Pennsylvania students, faculty, staff and campus partners with their ministry programs and helps organize and assist in the planning of Interfaith and student events – including the Commemoration of MLK and Baccalaureate.

After growing up in St. Louis, MO, Patty graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN). As a licensed nurse, she has focused her career in the area of healthcare and early childhood education.  Prior employment includes working within a Level III NICU (Philadelphia suburbs, Arlington, VA and Worcester, MA) and as a Pre-School Teacher (Peoria, IL & Ardmore, PA).  After seven moves in the past 20 years (with 3 in Philly), Philadelphia is considered “home” with her husband (Brett) and two children (Caroline & Owen).
